PHP (OOP, MVC), HTML, MySQL, Javascript, AJAX und vieles mehr!

Wer bei XP-Dev.com den Dienst der kostenlosen SVN-Server nutzt, hat sicherlich schon bemerkt, dass die Server seit gestern um ca. 16 Uhr nichtmehr erreichbar sind.

Da ich aber über SVN ein wichtiges Projekt am Laufen habe und bald abgeben muss, habe ich jetzt ein “kleines” Problem. Die anderen Mitarbeiter können meine aktuellen Daten nicht herunterladen und ich ihre nicht. Ein Austausch per E-Mail ist sehr langsam und umständlich, aber wahrscheinlich muss das jetzt die Lösung sein.

I do appologise for the delay. I can’t get into details. A full update will be posted soon when the time is right (i.e. when the servers come back online).

I just want to mention that this a very rare incident, one that most services on the internet do not encounter on a daily basis. It’s not a big issue, it just takes time to sort out. I’ve tried my very best to speed up the process, but by the looks of it, this is as fast as it goes.

I am online on our Twitter account, so if you have any questions or queries, please do give a shout there. I will try to reply in 5-10 minutes.

However, if you don’t want to bother with Twitter, you can drop an email to admin@xp-dev.com. I will try reply in 30-45 mins via email.

I really do sincerely appologise for this, and do understand that tens of thousands of you out there can’t access your projects and repositories. A full detailed explanation will be provided when the servers come online.

Here are some of the questions that have been asked on Twitter during the day:

Is this a security breach ? No, its not. There was no security breach on the servers, but they have been brought offline.

Is there a hardware failure ? No, no hardware failure. All data will be restored as it was when the servers were taken offline.

Kein Datenverlust

Gott sei dank können die Daten wiederhergestellt werden. Fraglich ist nur wann. Darüber wird in der Stellungname leider keine Aussage gemacht.

Ich frage jetzt einfach mal per E-Mail an und benachrichtige euch, falls ich was neues erfahre.

Mir wurde gerade per E-Mail mitgeteilt, dass die Server morgen wieder laufen sollten.

Nachtrag vom 8.7.2009

Als ich heute um 16 Uhr ein SVN-Update machen wollte, hat alles wieder wie gewohnt funktioniert. Die Server sind also erreichbar.
